Buy the Basics Pants sewing pattern from Folkwear. These simple, elastic-waist pants are incredibly comfortable. Easy to sew and easy to wear, they feature a high-rise waist and front pockets with a pocket flap detail that is fun to embellish (add embroidery or buttons!). Make these in a crisp cotton for work, twill for gardening, or soft flannel for lounging. This pattern is also an ideal âfirst pair of pantsâ for sewists.

Fabric requirements:Â Yardages given are with or without nap, pile, or one-way design.
45âł (115 cm) wide fabric: 2 3/8 - 3 7/8 yd (2.2 - 3.5 m) //Â 60âł (150 cm) wide fabric: 2 - 2 3/4 yd (1.8 - 2.5 m).
Sizing: XS â 3XL (approx. UK 4/6 â 28/30, based on our standardised size chart). Please also check the designerâs size chart and finished garment measurements.
